RE: mods
Hello and welcome to the forum jibber82.... this is a great place to start looking. What mods do you have in mind? Once you start the modding, it's a never-ending addiction and you can always buy something to add on.

RE: mods
i want to change out my headers and get new carbs or have mine seriously cleaned. Ive also wanted to get rid of my exhaust and run a straight pipe but i don't know how it would sound.

RE: mods
You can go with a full race exhaust for your bike if you want to change your headers... but that's a lot of money for a few extra ponies, in my opinion. If you do the full exhaust system, you'll probably end up wanting to have your carbs rejetted. So your best option is to save up the $1500 for the exhaust and have all of work done at a shop. The full system will run you around $1000 and the rest of the $1500 would, I'm guessing, cover the rejetting and dyno to tune your carbs.

RE: mods
just know you'll lose your lowend.
make sure you know what type of performance you're looking for, like so you turn better, go faster in a straight line, etc. |
RE: mods
if i go with the full race exhaust i want to find a sound that is low and deep not to normal high pitch sound so what are some companys i could look at?

arata, dnd, and two brothers... arata for the performance, dnd and two bros for the sound... change up some sprockets, get a PC-III, that'll be some good go fast mods... anyway... check out some good online vendors like www.ridersinc.com, indysuperbikes, superbikesupply... those should get you goin.
