I use my mirrors all the time but i still turn my head to check my blindspot when changing lanes.

 

CRG makes some good bar end mirrors. They make a 1" and a 3" + bar end. They keep you leagl in California. I took mine off, a form of a distraction for me. Maybe I have a 6th sence, but I generally know where ppl are with the 1"..its hard to get used to being so small, but its all I need now. BAD THING. I had a Huntington Beach unit roll me, I didnt know he was there for a mile lol. Perhaps the mirrors would have been nice. I had my MP3 player on...and he said he honked at me...but when he hit the siren...i heard him. He was mad!!! lol. Luckly...it was my brother!!! hehehe.

SO....check out CRG....I would have SOMETHING to keep it legal in the first place. Not sure on what state your in.
