lowering

Ive been interested in buying a newer cbr 600 rr. however im kinda of vertically challenged and need to lower the bike slightly. i heard that messin with the suspention isnt the best idea, and i heard that you could shave the seat. is this possible and how is it done.

Thanks

1st off welcome..

2nd..not being a jerk but....do a search on this site its at the top 4th one over. i have posted about 30 times all the links to lowering a bike.. and under the how-to there is a write up on shaving a seat.

plus it keeps you from getting flamed because most people dont like to lower a bike but its all good!

Not flaming, but just be careful on how much you lower because you can start to drag parts if you get into some serious turns. I am notperfectly flat footed on my F4i with regular shoes on, but my riding boots give me an addition inch, inchand a half...super low tech solution to my problem.
