Default How to pick an Exhaust- CBR600 2009-2010.

HEy guys, I've just been reading the forums. Getting excited to get my CBR600RR. I was wondering why there isn't a 2009-2010 exhaust thread? I only see the past 2 years.

I don't know alot about upgradeing the exhaust but was hopeing to look into it in the future. Could anyone post some good info on what brands I should be looking at, and "why's". For a 2009-2020 CBR600.

Thanks!

Oh geezus. It's an exhaust thread. Somebody's gonna lose an arm here.

There probably isn't a thread for it because barely anyone has one of these bikes yet, and I'm sure the exhaust manufacturers are still ramping up their production on them. Most owners of brand new bikes don't want to mod them until their warranty is up. You gotta give it a couple of years before you can really get a good selection and good opinions on what's going on. I'd wait until you're ready, then come back and look again.

+1. Our bikes are to new. I just got a 09 Phoenix with 0 miles. Its hard to find threads on our bikes. I used to belong to the F2 section(a 15 year old bike) and the threads were plentiful. lol so its a waiting game or being the first to find out.

I was told changing the exhaust wouldnt affect my warrant. She said i can do what i want as long as i dont go into the engine. Im going to ask about a power commander. I dont think that would void it though.

good ol' mis information. here is 25 pages of threads about 09-10 http://www.600rr.net/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=125 also exhaust's from 07-08 will work on 09-10. majority of people do not want to wait for their warranty to be up to change the exhaust because it doesnt effect the warranty.

I just bought an 09 Phoenix. The dealer looked up exhaust and I ordered a full system yoshi exhaust. It won't void the warranty either.

If the dealer installs the exhaust it wont void the warranty on the exhaust, if you replace the exhaust the only thing it does is void the warranty on the exhaust system (which is not a big deal) not on anything else
