Honda CBR 600 from 1988

My CBR lastly started to loose almost all the power and making explosive sounds like ''PA'' ''PA'', I have to say that the second gear is broken so I was forcing the third gear, I want to know what it could be for to check it out and fix it. Thanks, any answer that could help please :D

As for engine making noise that could be timing wghich mean valves or shims need checking
