HID Light recommendations
The lights I have on my bike are stock, they are bright enough to get the job done but I want HID's just to make me a little more noticeable at night when riding.
Are there HID's that are just a direct replacement over stock or is there some type of wiring changes? |

Are there HID's that are just a direct replacement over stock or is there some type of wiring changes? I recently switched from DDM tuning to a VOLT kit. Reason I did was the glass on the bulb for the DDM tuning was not UV resistant glass and began to form a haze on my headlight lenses. For some reason this doesn't happen to every bike though. Some people have ran DDM for a couple of years with no issues and some get the haze within a couple of months. I guess it's just a roll of the dice. I will say that the VOLT kit is superior to the DDM. No noise or flickering on start-up. Very good beam pattern and spread compared to the DDM and the components just seem of better quality. Not to say the DDM is terrible, if it wasn't for the haze I would have kept them. But my new kit is easily brighter at the same kelvin level. Here's a pic of the haze. It's more noticeable in person. Where did you order your VOLT kit from? Thanks for the tip!

I didn't pay that much. I'm also a member of 600RR.net and Oliver is the forum vendor for them over there. He gave me a deal on them. I would maybe call and see if you could get the forum price for it. I know they aren't the cheapest HID kit on the market but they do work better. If money is a problem, get the DDM tuning kit. |
Cool man thanks!
