It's do-able, but not real cheap (if you do it right).
If you want a really flexible option in a solid bar, the DanMoto-3D's are the way to go. Mind, you have to get creative and be mechanicaly apt, if you want bar-weights/ends. At $120 bucks, they wont break the bank, you can find them at danmoto.com After that, you can try to find some, that give you what you want, at the wrecker-yard. This can be inexpensive, but it's a crap-shoot and a pain to find the set that will meet your needs. Patience is definitly the order of the day. Next step up is the APEX brand, they range $200+. Similar to the DanMoto's but, with a hollow bar. Easier to customize, if you're going to roll that way. That's where I'm going, because I also want to install a ThrottleMeister Bar-end cruise control. There are a few retailors but here's the factory ebay store. I haven't seen much of a break, with either retail or factory pricing.... handlebars, motorcycle parts items in clip-ons store on eBay! There are other options out there, just google "motorcycle clip-on risers". This is just the culling of my own research and common interest. Ern |
What model cbr? different models different sizes. For example... suzuki sv650 bars (41mm) fit f2's and f3's. And they have a little more rise compared to the stock. Also a little rise goes a long way. Unless you want an Ape Hanger type of rise.lol.
