Default Custom Built Exhaust

All this tlk about no mufflers has got me pondering about building my own muffler set -up. Has anyone done this? And before this starts to go off topic i don't really care about what it will do to my motor i am well aware of how the computer regulates air/fuel ration and backpressure requirements.

if you got some pics or ideas let me know

I actually just got done doing this to a 2002 F4I... Buddy of mine had his muffler come off the other day on the highway (clamp came loose)... So he picked up some exhaust-flex-pipe and we threw a Stainless tip on there and man it sounds great... No noticeable loss in power according to him... Just much much much louder! Very loud! We cranked it up in the garage and it rattled the tools on the walls...

The boz brothers are a perfect example. They just turned making their own exhaust for their bikes into a growing business now. Not to mention all the custom builder guys. OCC, McCoy, Jessie James. the list goes on

Here is the exhaust on my f2. It has a 900 motor so the headers are a set of 900rr from D&D. The cans are Micron. The mid pipe is stock Ducati. mocked it all up and joind point a to point b with a couple of pieces of mandrel bent pipe and waa laa. Sounds great, performs great. Don't let anyone tell you you can't do what you want to do, anything is possible.
