sato rearset install help

I purchased a set of used Sato rearsets for my 07 1000rr. I attempted to install the brake side which is very easy except the bolt that goes through the back of the brake lever and into the master cylinder is too big to fit through the rearset. When you buy a new set of Satos does it come with a new bolt?

I considered drilling out the rear set but am afraid of cracking it, and have considered just getting a smaller size bolt but then it will not be a snug fit inside the pivot point of the master cylinder plunger.....any ideas or light someone can shed on the situation for me?

Dont drill it. It should have a spacer and a smaller than the stock size bolt. I lost the bolt... I believe it a 6x40mm. You'll need some spacers between the pedal and the linkage, several washers will work, I used a cut down piece of steel tubing.

Try contacting Sato before you do any modifying it. I had an o4' and the Sato's were an absolutely perfect fit.
