Running an auto tune

I've been thinking of getting my bike tuned, but I'm just thinking of different way to do it. I was thinking of buying a auto tune for my power commander 5 and using that to tune my bike or just taking it in to someone to do it. What do you guys think is best?

Never had any of my bikes tuned. Never saw the need. I did contemplate it a bit earlier this year after a dyno shootout.

My thoughts were if I were to go messing with the fuel management, I'd go with the autotune. The reason being is while less precise than dyno tuning, it's better able to keep up with changing conditions. And honestly, I'm not trying to set any records either. So an autotuner would be sufficient and have more longevity.

Yeah I was talking to my buddy about it and he said to go with a dyno because its more accurate, but hes a much faster rider and actually benefits from it. I think for me at my level an auto tuner would be enough, I just need it to even out the idle on my bike since it has an aftermarket exhaust.
