whats up fellow honda riders i have stock 06 rr 1000 and i am open to all advice that will make it faster and meet its full potenial tired of all friends that ride gsxr's talkin sh*t hope to get alot of replys cause i have heard alot different things from different people hope to hear from u soon thanks for ur time merry christmas and be safe

I see you have the red and black 06'. it all depends on what you want power or looks or just a better riding bike. I live in Florida so my red and black 06' is set up for more of the straight roads then turning roads. Like I said it all depends on what you want.

dude the sky is the limit.
do you want speed and top end, speed and superior handling. drag setup.
its all going to determine how you spend.


but here some basics things to get more hp to the ground

pipe and pc3 and ignition module with custom map
it has to be a quality pipe like sato, arata, hamaguchi, akro, or arrow
(i am sure there are others but these are the main ones that you hear about)
i would stay away from yosh, its a nice sounding and looking pipe but on 1000rr.net even with a custom map people are getting only a few more hp out of the full system than with the slip on.

reported gains with the good pipes are 15-20 with a custom map
oh and make sure its full titanium for maximum weight reduction

next reduce as much weight off the bike as you can.
marchichini wheels may cost 1800 bucks but can take off 10lbs of rotating mass. thats a lot of freed up hp to now go to the wheel.
take off the passenger pegs, lighter fairing stay and subframe. lightweight rear rotor with titanium bolts.


then get a hardened AL 520 conversion kit. go -1 tooth on the front +1 or 2 in the back.

you will sacrifice a little top end but the hardened AL sprockets will reduce a lot of rotating mass and the tooth change will make you take off a lot faster.


all that without even opening up the engine.
if you have the money get the HRC power up kit which has new valve springs, cams, and ecu

like i said money is the only limit.


or you can spend the money on race schools and a well tuned suspension and take em to the track and lap them a few times. its always fun to outride more hp bikes on a race track.
i lapped a busa on my 600RR once. fun times

there is nothing wrong with the power of the bike-learn to use it-attend some track days and embarass them in the turns-the experience you learn on the track will pay dividends on the street-phil
