Default More torque, horsepower?

Can any of you advise on potential upgrades for my 2004 CBR 1000RR. I would like more torque and if I get more horsepower, then so be it. More torque is what I am really after.

I have power Commander and Akrapovic exhaust. The bike dynos at 152 horsepower and 79lbs of torque.

Am I pretty much already at the max without buying a faster bike?

Thoughts, comments?

That be a full system you have or just the Can? The would be the first suggestion i`d make, if not ask metalscorpio. He`s made some mods to his and run 188hp at the wheel from his now 1058cc engine.

change your sprockets. This is the cheapes way to get more torque. -1 front, +2 rear.

The sprocket change is a good cuggestion, but what would be the down side to that? Less top end?

Yeah You`ll sacrifice top speed for faster acceleration. Try this to help you decide what sprocket size you want........

1000RR Gearing Calculator

Just Change the teeth numbers at the top and it`ll work out the speeds for you. Stock for me was 16/40.

yeah most of the rr's i've seen numbers on with bolt on mods dyno in between 77-82 on torque. the best way without doing serious engine mods is with the gearing change, down in the front or up in the back or both.

just like they said, you could do what you want from your bike by just changing the sprockets but you'll have to give somewhere, between top end lost to high reving at crusing speeds. I would say to leave the one in the front alone and just go 2 up in the back, you'll be happier on that set up.

I have done -1 in the back with stock rear, no good for me, Stock front two up in the back...now that would work even for track days.
