Hotbodies Undertail Colors - Opinions

I'm replacing the undertail and adding a rear tire hugger to my 08 Yellow/Black CBR 1000rr. Although the pics on the Hotbodies site show that same bike with yellow parts, I was thinking the gloss black would match the tank fairing. Has anyone else opted for black? How does it look?

Other mods to be tackled at the same time are a passenger cowl and Sato street hangers. I figured I might as well remove the rear pegs while I'm tearing down the undertail.

Any opinions appreciated.

Gloss Black would be nice looking. Then you dont have to worry so much about color match.

I've heard nothing good about them. I plan to get a R&G tidy tail so I can keep my "trunk".

I went with the yellow undertail and the gloss black tire hugger. The black is perfect, but there's a slight color difference on the undertail from the stock paint (a touch lighter yellow). I'm thinking that it won't be noticeable since it's mounted underneath. I'll post pics when I'm done.

I'm still waiting on the Sato hooks to arrive. Since I have to tear down the entire rear end, I'll wait and do it all at once.

If you really want to go with hotbodies, I suggest the black or smoke colors. The undertail of the bike is already black so the only thing you would have to worry about with those colors is fittiment. Trying to color match aftermarket parts is always a challenge. Some companies get it roght on, others (Hotbodies) seem to have trouble. Go with black or smoke so you wont be disapointed.
