Default Hot Bodies fender eliminator kit

I just got the kit in it took about 3 hours to get it on it looks good and all but i am disapointed with licesne plate light. It apperas that it was just smashed into the plastic and basically looks like ****. So if your thinking of buying one for your 08 1000 dont get your hopes up.

I have just ordered the hotbodies undertail kit. I also bought a curved tag relocator (swingarm) so I am not really worried about the tag light.

hmmm ...this is interested because upon having the hotbodies installed on my bike..the license light seems to work just fine and it also shines the plate well which is an issue with tickets if its not bright enough on the plate.

Yea the light works fine but the led is just slamed through the plastic it may just be a defect on the kit i got but i am not about to wait another 2 months for a new one. I just mounted the plate to the mud flap and it seems to work fine. I may wind up having to trim it back an inch or to though.

Check out Ride Engineering's Fender Eliminator, I almost got the hot bodies kit until I saw the Ride one. Just installed it yesterday, it looks super clean! I just think the Hot Boidies kit looks cheap.

It looks like the Ride Engineering version eliminates practically all trunk space!

Actually, I have more room now, it is just not as deep. It moves the storage compartment a little farther forward. What are you planning to put in your "trunk" anyways?

Well, right now I have my owners manual and a small toolkit, with some room to spare. The Ride Engineering kit doesn't have the same depth, and I doubt I'd be able to keep the same contents, much less add anything else.

I think you would find that I have more storage compartment area than you Hot Bodies kit. I know the photos on the website make it look like there is absolutely no room but there is more room than stock. Trust me, I am a professional motorcycle technican and have installed both kits on customers bikes!
