helibars for 1000rr??

I have seen a few ppl talk about these and did some research on google and helibars.com wondering if anyone has tried these before? My hands get numb when i ride for awhile.

My hands go to sleep too but all the bikes I've had do it to me; Duc 900sssp, 907IE, RC51s, rz350, gsxr750... I do know it stems from my carpal tunnel I got when I was lobstering in high school and now that bar vibration/buzz puts them to sleep. Try some heavier bar ends first. Could be as simple as moving your current bars slightly in or out too.

yea I was reading the other thread about bar weights, mine could be an issue as the weights spin like there not tight, and the inner weight on the throttle handle is were i notice the play or vibration.

btw thanks for your input.

Danmoto makes some adjustable clip ons you can check out. He also has some different weights you can purchase for the ends. I have used Danmoto in the past and have not had any problems with the parts. You also can try getting a bicycle inner tube and cutting a couple of pieces of rubber out of it. Then take those strips and put them inbetween stantion and the clip on. This will kill some of the vibration. I have read that vibration around 5k rpm is a common issue with the 1krr. If you look at the end of your bar ends and then look at the insert in the end of the clip on that the bar end screw threads in too, you will see that the bar end and the insert both look like a half c on their face. The bar end is supposed to mate up with the insert so that the c's lock together. If by chance your bar end does not have it or your insert does not have it (the half circle/C) you may be able to use a nylon washer or o ring to help take up some of the space and or grip the barend so it does not spin freely.

Thanks for the info, I think ill pull those out today and check em out, Its been that way since I bought the bike from the dealer and they said it was all serviced and ready to go, but i noticed little things like the bar weights.

Well you are correct about the rpm's, I will ride at about 4500-5000 rpm's which is about 75mph and notice the vibration the most.
