I will add my two cents here....
The easiest way I could do it on my '06 (Besides run with the highs on)was to use two micro single pole double throw relays. The relays are available at Rat Shack or most other electrical suppliers. Here is what I did: I used the OE harness to drive the coil of the realys, then in all 12 Gauge wiring I wired according to this schematic. Make sure your relays are rated for no less than 15 amps (55watt low + 60 watt high = 115. 115watts divided by 14 volts = 8 amps. Always try double your rated current on contacts.... So 15 amps would suffice and be safe.)
Mine works fine, no hot wires = no problems. I hid the relays in the left mid with the t/s relay and wrapped my wires and ran them with the oe harness. I did then adjust the right down somewhat, because the high really illuminates!! Good luck!! This is what worked for me, if you do not feel comfortable doing it please don't try!!

Forgot to mention I had to cut down an H4 bulb to fit in both headlight buckets, then I used a piece of aluminum to accomodate the space between the new bulb and the retaining wire.

The kawasaki Z1000, Z750, Z750S and many other motorcycles with 2 headlights run just one headlight for low beam, then add the other when on high beam. So normal op is the cyclops effect. The mod provides 40% power to the high beam during normal (low beam) operation then bumps it to 100% when high beam is selected. This way, both beams are always on for more cager visibility.

 

Hey that seems like a really cool box. I have been interested in getting rid of the cyclops effect since I bought my 04 1000RR. Unfortunately I am not good with PayPal and I have a bit of trouble reading foreign languages. Anyone else distribute this module???

 

i now ride with my high beams on at all times I adjusted my low beam up a little and lowered my high beam it worked out pretty well, and there arnt any cars flashing there high beams at me. i also cut the wire that shows that my high beams are on so i dont have that blue light in my face all the time.

 

+1 on runnin w/high beams on. Easy !!

 

When you get it installed on your bike can you post up outcome as I would really like to know how this kit works out? It sounds good!
