CBR 1000 pollution crap (take it off or leave it )

just wondering if i should take off all the pollution crap off and plug it all up .Will the bike perform better? These stupid vacuum lines go every where . I bought the block offs on the valve cover for my 06 r1 and unplugged the pollution stuff and it runs fine . But on the 08 cbr theres alot more to do . Just wondering if anyone has tried this and what was the out come .

Get rid of it bro. dont plug anything though, attach hoses to it and route it away from your motor.

Lose a little bit of weight and also the popping will go away if you have a pipe on it. EPA garbage

You have to plug the hole in your air box, dispite what badkawrma says. Well, I guess you dont have to but YOU SHOULD! The fresh air going into your exhaust comes through a hose from your air box, so..........plug it. Unplugging the system will not throw a code. The PAIR system that is. But dont plug the crankcase breather hose going to the air box you need to hook that one back up. You dont necessarily need the block off plates, you could use rubber caps, kind of like rubber feet thats on the bottom of metal folding chairs. A little high temp rtv and safety wire, hose clamps for added security.

You should not hook hoses to it and route the hose away from your engine. Do it right or not at all. Your not going to get any performance enhancement from this mod. The only benefit would be it you were running the Auto Tune with the PC. Or if you were to have your bike dyno tuned be a reputable tuner, so he could get an accurate air/fuel ratio reading. As far as weight saving goes, a donut & small coffee weigh more.
