Anyone use Pirelli or Metzler Tires?
Looking for feedback on either the Pirelli Diablo Corsa or the Metzler Sportec. The stock bridgestones are fine for break on my new bike, but soon I will want better tires. Its been so long since I've bought bike tires, and I used to be a huge Metzler fan back in the day, I've had several local people sing the praises of the Pirelli's. I want a tire that's predictable, and has great edge feel.

RE: Anyone use Pirelli or Metzler Tires?
Hi,
I have now supercorsa pro both rear and front. They are very good also for fast drive and curves. Only two bad things are the price (they are expencive) and they need some time warming and therefore I have some difficulties to make them correct air pressure. First they are soft and then a bit hard. But there might be something to do our climate. Temperature is about 10 degrees Celsius.
Next I thought trying Metz M1 rear.
I think you are not disappointed neither.

i have tried both pirelli diablo corsa and pirelli supercorsa pro..e diff is for diablo corsa is good for road and track, supercorsa is good on dry road, poor on wet road but superb on a dry track condition..loving it!! NO SLIDING WATSOEVER even when i brake, downshift late into corners..unlike diablo corsa. The con is that it won't last very long..grippy tires wear out faster. between traction and mileage..i would go for traction. better be safe than sorry..hehe!!

The Metzeler Racetec are basically the same Tyre as the Supercorsa. But with different tread patterns. I`m running Pilot Powers for the Road now, so far i`m impressed especially in the wet there grip and feedback is really good.
I run the Racetecs on track they are an awesome tyre, but like Blade17 says not so good if theres standing water.

yup Anubis is rite..Pirelli Supercorsa and Metzeler Racetech are basically e same tyre compound..Pirelli is the parent company for Metzeler..and the reason why Pirelli is more expensive than Metzeler..dat is wat was told to me by a local tyre agent.
from personal experience..bcos of the different thread pattern, even thou they had e same compound..Supercorsa stands out bcos it had SUPERIOR line holding ability...u can actually feel the bike tipping in for u entering corner and holding ur cornering line even when u enter faster than u normally could..its great!!
if you notice frm my other posts on tires..im standing firm on Supercorsa bcos i feel like its a sin not to tell fellow 1000 rr firebladers on their capabilities..i had e luxury of trying out 3 race spec tires..Pirelli,Metzeler,Michelin..so far Pirelli stands out. Up next Dunlop 209 gp..
