they're cheap for a reason, kinda raspy almost hollow tone, a customer came in last week with one on an to be honest your better off with the stock ones sound and performance. just wait an get a good pipe, look on craigslist or ebay you should be able to find a good priced yosh or two bro's.

save your money up for the Taylormade. i have it and it was the best money i ever spent.

I just purchased a Growler for my 08 1000rr and I'm very happy with it. The pipe is LOUD and to me it does not have that "ricey" high pitched tone. It has a deep tone at an idle and it maintains a nice tone throughout the power band. I only have about 300 miles on the bike since I put the pipe on. I get a lot of complements on the pipe on a regular basis.
I was on Main Street during this past Biktoberfest and heard many different pipes and I feel that the Growler is the best sounding in my opinion. For $269 shipped I am very happy with it so far. |
I have the Jardine RT5 and it sounds good. I agree the Taylor Made is the best looking but IMO the price doesn't support the gains with that setup.

I did the exhaust flapper mod, and it sounds amazing. No reason to spend money, if all you're looking for is sound. Exhaust doesn't add much HP anyway.

pix n sound clips would be nice fellas ;)
