Just bought an 08 1000rr and cant stand the look of the exhaust but also dont have the 900+ to spend on any of the taylormade, krtuned ect like i really want so i was looking at this one made by hotbodies. itsthe mgp growler and looks decent but being its only like $300 makes me kinda wonder.

they're cheap for a reason, kinda raspy almost hollow tone, a customer came in last week with one on an to be honest your better off with the stock ones sound and performance. just wait an get a good pipe, look on craigslist or ebay you should be able to find a good priced yosh or two bro's.

I just purchased a Growler for my 08 1000rr and I'm very happy with it. The pipe is LOUD and to me it does not have that "ricey" high pitched tone. It has a deep tone at an idle and it maintains a nice tone throughout the power band. I only have about 300 miles on the bike since I put the pipe on. I get a lot of complements on the pipe on a regular basis.
I was on Main Street during this past Biktoberfest and heard many different pipes and I feel that the Growler is the best sounding in my opinion. For $269 shipped I am very happy with it so far.

I have the Jardine RT5 and it sounds good. I agree the Taylor Made is the best looking but IMO the price doesn't support the gains with that setup.

I did the exhaust flapper mod, and it sounds amazing. No reason to spend money, if all you're looking for is sound. Exhaust doesn't add much HP anyway.

yeah bro..good choice wth the Growler. When bought my bike I was trying to buy the same pipe but it wasn't made until later on in 2008 so went for the 2Bros. I first heard that pipe on You Tube and dude ...dammmmmmm that pipe sounds wicked !!!
