520 Conversion?!?!?!?
I keep getting told that I should do a 520 Conversion but nobody can tell me why.. I have always been around car modifications and dealt with building project cars so I know my way around parts.. However bikes are a bit different.. From what I understand 520 Conversion means a bigger gear, which means better low end. I would see why to do it on a 600 since they are fairly lazy in the revs but the 1000rr moves once it hits a little rev. I can see how it helps getting off the line quicker because it revs faster but I weigh 135 lbs so I am already doing power wheels in 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear. Do I really want a 520 conversion.. if I need better low end that's what the clutch is for.. :icon_shrug:
