2008 input on gearing
 

Hello,I have not had the luxury of viewing the forum in a while so I apoligize if this topic has already been beet to death.I'm getting a new chain this week,and wanted some opions on what gear ratio's other's 1k bikes are happy with....I alomst am gonna stick with stock,since man the 08 powerband is already good through out..Type of riding I do is alot of twisties and the normal around town on bike night when i do go...Iam not wanting to stunt,but do love to bring up a nice one every now and then....just some opions would be really apreciated....Thank's...Remeber pashion not fashion.....

If you want to change the stock gearing a -1/+2 sprocket combination plus a 520 chain is a popular mod. You can go to the Gearing Commander website, load you bike's stock setup from the drop-down menu and see what effect different gearing combinations will have on your speed and rpm.
