2005 vs. 2006 1000rr slip on exhausts?
hey guys, I currently run a 2005 1000rr and am looking for a slip on exhaust and found a good deal on a micron pipe. but the problem is that the guy says its for an 06+. but looking around is there any difference at all between the stock 05 and stock 06 exhausts on the 1000rr. I really appreciate any help you guys can give me.
By the way if they are close to the same, I have alot of metal/pipe working tools at my disposal to modify the pipe so it would fit. I just don't want to have to tear the entire thing apart to do so.

There was a change between the 05 and 06 stock exhaust, but it was only to the mufflers outward appearance. The routing and the mounts are all the same. So any slip on from 04-07 should bolt right on without any modifications.
The tuning should be the same as well, meaning if you go with a pc3, use the map for the 05, not the 06. the 06's tuning is a bit different than the 05. Or better yet, get it dyno tuned. this is only if you tune it, It should run fine by itself without a pc 3, but you can really clean up the throttle response and power delivery with a dyno tune, but its not needed to run just a slip-on.
