05 CBR 1000 exhaust question

My question is will the Akrapovic hex slip-on exhaust fit my 05 1000RR? In the part listings the hex exhaust is only listed as an 06-07 part. I have looked at 07's at the dealership and it looks like it will work. Anybody know why the 04-05 bikes are not listed for the hex exhaust. Thanks. Joe.

manufacturers just like to pretend they're up there with the latest of the greatest

I figured it would. I just wanted to hear some other opinions. All the other companies list there exhasutes as 04-07. Thanks.
