Default tire suggestions

ive had the bike for almost 5k and im startin to see threads (supposivly new tires on it when i got it from the guy)

ive had more fun practicing my wheelies then doin anything else lately so i was gonna shoot toward that domain... is there any tire that performs a lil better then the rest or is there anything i should stay away from?

i have a maxxis 180/55zr17 supermaxx ... dunno if its a street or race tire, but i like the way it handles, i was just hopping to get more then 5k out of a set of tires

you can get tires that last along time but the grip on them isnt as good as other tires. i have mich pilot powers and i love them. the center of the tire is harder then the outside. so when your draggin they grip really well and i do wheelies on them all day long... i am sure other people will give you some good tires choices too. but i like the powers.

I am running Conti-Sport Attacks, Best damn tires I've used so far, I really like them, they grab like glue, even in the rain, I can lay my bike completely down on the corners, and the wear is very attractive, I've got 1k miles on mine, (and I have been ragging on them) and they still look excellent. They dont wear any faster than your typical street tires, but they preform like track tires, I love it. They came Highly recommended by another guy I ride with, which is one of the most knowledgeable guys I know as far as Bike advise goes.

i have dunlop qualifiers with about 2000 miles on them and showin cord in the center. im guessin tis from all the wheelies. ive only done one short burn out as rubber is to expensive. they grip well in the twistys though.

The pilot powers are GREAT tires, the dealer i bought my 954 from runs only pilot powers on his bikes, he rides MAINLY street but hits up the track days when he can he said they are very good for twisties and don't wear very easily, his favorite part about them is the lean angle of them, you can set your bike down REAL low in rain or dry...i would recommend them
