it can be done definitely in third gear with stock gears..... its all over on youtube and stuff... sit back and load the front suspension and drop the clutch

 

Oh man RSRACER, you must be mad at the world. . Not only do you not know how to ride after "all those years", but you have the courage to come onto a respectful forum and tell someone they are a lyar because YOU can't do something THEY can. I have an 08' 600RR with STOCK gearing and can pull and stand up in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and recently got down 4th gear. All without the clutch and will ride them for a good while and go around slight curves. And also from experience it's easier to do a wheelie up a hill than down one since you want to talk about BP's, going up a hill, your BP is lower making it easier. If you want an example come watch me ride, i'll teach you how to wheelie. I'm about a half an hour north of Philly, i'll even let you count the teeth on my sprockets! ;-)
