i'll admit, everyone once in a while when i'm riding to the beach, i squid it out. board shorts, t-shirt, tennis shoes, helmet, and gloves. that's the only time i do it though. all the rest of the time i'm all the gear.

 

My son calls squids "skin crayons".

Back in the mid 90's I was guilty for riding un geared as a new rider to the street.

I lived in South Carolina with no helmet laws, I would only wear no helmet around town which wasnt smart even though it was around town.

I've learned a lot and seen a lot since and I always wear long pants, gloves, helmet and good shoes. around town

in the canyons, its full gear all the time !!

 

i always wear my helmet, jacket, and gloves.. on a side note, i saw an old man on a cruiser the other day wearing only shorts and a half-helmet..

 

helmet, padded riding jacket, gloves, long pants, riding boots always, even in sc 100+ temps in summer. next summer i will invest in one of those mesh padded riding tops, so i dont pass the **** out when im in mid day heat traffic. only time i dont wear helmet and gear is to diagnose a problem by hearing it or after i do work on my bike that requires a quik test ride for a couple miles to listen for any strange noises that indicates that something was not installed back the correct way. its hard to hear anything with helmet on

 

I shave my legs too... but it has nothing to do with biking

P.S. All gear all the time... winter gear now... summer gear later :3
