lol lord man, thx for the pics.... i have a buddy helping me with the machine work, so he will machine whatever i ask haha.... but do you see any safety reasons again removing the lip? is it structural at all? or is it just to help space out the oem wheel?

and im glad you used his spacing, and the chain came out that straight, ill plan on doing the same then

and you did make a write up for that line right?

i'm think that removing the lip is possible... but i'd rather keep the hub stock and make the spacer fit the hub, and if you've got a machinist - it'll be easy enough. the hub material is harder than the aluminum spacer. if you find a picture of the axle, you'll see what i'm talking about

i found every 954 sssa write up i could, and they were all pretty similiar, the only difference between them was the way people handled the pivot bolt. and then it was really only revoltn1 and cbrrrt who went into the wheel spacer - so i went with their measurements as a guide.

and the chain guide has to be cut down as well. it hits the countershaft sprocket, but if you just cut the lip on the front down, it'll work.

the brake line is easy to build. i just followed the video on anplumbing.com. the only difference is the size of the line and that its coated line. just get stainless steel fittings

Sounds good man, im pumped.... now to just get the ball rolling haha... I cant decided between the 17 and 18" wheel, been talkin back and forth with revolt, and basically hes telling me there is no way to run a 200 on a 18X8, and idk how much bigger i wanna go, i know hes running a 260, which would pretty much ruin all corning capabilities

guess well see

that and you won't be able to get as good of tires running an 18in. rim. after you go 18, you're pretty much running tires that were maid for cruisers/choppers - not a 929 you know? id stick with a 17 if it were me and the most i'd go is 7.5. if you look at the ducati diavel, its running a 240/50/17 on a 17x7 rim.... so you could put a lot of meat on a 7in rim. if you look at my pics, you can see how tiny the 190 is on my 7in wide rim. i'm running a 200 for my next tire (shinko 010 apex - ill give it a shot).

well, i just saw pics of your arm, it looks good and clean. i bought a swingarm like that (just the arm) but i couldnt ever find the hub and axle for it for a decent price. so i hope you have more luck than i did. i ended up getting a deal on a whole arm/hub/axle from tampa chop shop, so if you can't find a hub/axle on the net, maybe give them a call. they are great to work with.

I can see clearly now the rain has gone, hahaha.... that really cleared it up for me.... 17" looks fine, ill probably do a 17x7 with a 200 series

and +1 to looking bigger, i think its a optical illusion bc of the difference in tire size

hey con, you wouldnt have interest in buying my custom rearsets off me would you?

Z, I see you changed your mind about doing a 18. Thank goodness, its perfect with 17's. A 18 would remind me of a wide tired busa.....not cool..... Im seriously thinking about doing this as my final upgrade.

Conrice, I ride the Shinko 009 and love them. My buddy has a gixxer 1000 with the 010's also known as Apex and hes a experienced motorcyclist like me. He loves those tires and he came from pilot powers. He already stated that hands down the pilots dont compare to the Apex. He's sold on the Shinko....I am too and my next set will be the 010 Apexs
