this helps a lot! if you have a manual CCT whats the different steps i have to take???

After installing the new self adjusting tensioner, you don't have to do any adjustments. Or forgive my stupidity, does it "self adjust"? haah.

I haven't done this job, though I actually am getting a new stock CCT in for my comfort and from Dirt's pics it looks like it comes preloaded and after you install it you remove the mechanism that holds the plunger compressed and that releases the plunger to put pressure on the chain.

I'm sure Idodirt can confirm or clarify and probably provide pics too.

Thanks for the sticky, now I can find this thread easily the next time someone asks!!

Does the F3 spring CCT fit the F2?

my friends stock OEM CCT is different than the f2's
