Turns out a lot of the tires old my bikes were past their best, got some old but good 208rr's on the track F2, shortened the wheelbase as much as possible when I got a new chain, got the gearing right and dropped the front 25mm. Handles pretty well now, (fairing removed too), I took everyone in the intermediate group on a track and wasn't slowest in fast. I'd say it's on par now with my old FZR600.

The F3 has a pair of Racetecs I picked up at a club race meeting and handles much better now especially when tires are cold. Rear is a high profile 180, I've got the front dropped 20mm which is the max or the ram scoop smashes the front fender on the brakes. Need to change fork oil next and reduce the air gap to get rid of the fork chatter.

Also just bought a later F3 which I might race for the crack, I recon I can be in the top half the field in a novice 600 race with a stock motor bike looking at their slow lap times. I've never been worried about smashing up new bikes so crashing a steel framed nail won't bother me at all. Hope it rains as all the youngsters seem lost without electronics which make you slower anyway.

Anyone know what colour the frame paint for a 95 f3. I know it's silver but what silver. I am almost finished fixing one of these and am very excited. Is there any difference between a jap import and uk spec bike. Mine is purple black and yellow i cannot find any pics of it on the net similar but not exact. Which i thought would be easy. Very nice review

I enjoyed your write but, I wish those performance numbers were true. 156 top speed, 105 hp? That sounds like new 600s. Nice write up thought.
