As I mentioned in the other post I am doing a magazine article on the history of the Honda F2-F3 and am here doing basic research.

What are your top five mods to your bike and brands of the parts you used. Also please mention why you like the mod and how it helps the bike.

1. Aftermarket pipe (stock one sounds lame)
2. manual CCT
3. double bubble windscreen
4. +2 teeth on rear sprocket
5. stiffer fork/rear shock

 

Double Bubble Windscreen- cosmetic

K and N air filter- performance

Aftermarket pipe- performance/cosmetic

Jet kit- performance, necessary after a pipe

Fender Eliminator- cosmetic, makes it look like a sportier bike

 

-1 tooth in front, +2 in the rear.

 

1. 600rr swingarm swap. Great aesthetic and handling upgrade
2. vortex -1, +2 sprockets. Helps acceleration tons
3. Vance and Hines exhaust. Just about every F2 has this pipe, I'm starting to think it was factory
4. APE Manual CCT for sure. The bike clicks and clacks and sounds like junk without it.
5. upgraded regulator rectifier. OEM is junk and overheats.
Bonus 6. non vacuum F3/4 petcock, stocker will leave you stranded

 

1. Vance & Hines "factory pipe" haha/carb jet
2. APE CCT for sure
3. K & N
4. 54T rear sprocket
5. mirrors and CRG levers

 

what is a manual cct???? im new to sport bikes

 

Its the first sticky in the F2 section tells you all about it. But anyway its a Cam Chain Tensioner.

 

1. Any aftermarket exhaust
2. stunt cage, or race cage..fairings are too precious to be damaging!!
3. integrated tail
4. flush mount signals.
5.. sell the f2 then get a f4i!!!!<--- best 'mod'

 

1. New pipe, Then cut it in half to make it cool looking..

2. K&N filter, because you can!

3. Jet kit because you are going to regret it if you do 1 and 2 without 3..

4. Gearing change, because we all like wheelies!

5. Sell all of your fairings on ebay and fighter that beast!
