I've just completed the swap, and will post photos of the entire process ASAP.
Make sure you get all the necessary pieces and it'll go fast & easy.
Here is what you will need: (these are photos I took of the parts I purchased and used)
1.) 1997-98 rear fender (undertail)
2.) 1995-98 license plate mount/light (same part for all 1995-98 F3s so you can re-use your original one)
I didn't re-install this piece at all.
3.) 1997-98 Tail light/tail light harness/tail light bracket
4.) 1997-98 left & right rear turn signals (blinkers)
5.) 1997-98 left & right side covers (tail fairings)
If you happen to find/buy the new like I did, make sure you order a new black screw type fastener for each side (or remember to remove them from your old side covers before you sell them).
6.) 1997-98 center seat cowl (center tail fairing)
7.) 1997-98 seat

I have a 98, and if you want a clean looking tail, you can eliminate the purchase/installation of the blinkers, and intergrate the stock tail light. since there are 2 bulbs, all you need is a trailer adapter from any automotive parts store, and wire it up. I have a pair of side covers off a 95/96 that i was hoping to modify, but it just wont look right, so i will have to find a pair off a 97/98 and Ebay what i have.

go to ronayres.com... they have tailights real cheap... the clear alternatives was $49 for the f3. I also reused my undertail but eliminated the lisence plate mount light because i put my plate on a swingarm plate stand.
as for blnkers, i took those off and put flushmounts drilled to the side of the rear fairing
