You don't ride far enough to get a numb bum, yubugger ![X(]
Gotta do over 300 k's before it starts to ache...........
I often do twice that distance, so don't hang the cardboard man shyte on me...............
I'm actually considering recovering me seat with extra padding - only problem is, you sit that extra 10mm or so higher, and are more exposed to the wind........doesn't sound like much, but it does make a difference.
I'll see - need to find some correct colour seatcovering first...................
Maybe use Roo................[X(][:-]
Don't ride far enough ? hu !! yer I have crossed this bloody humongous lump of sand in both directions..!!! I have my near 300,000 klm under me arse ....my bum need a bit of a rest...

Pete ...we are jackin the boys thread again , so I think you and me better take it out into the street and settle this once an for all

Thanks for all the replies on my pics, thanks Shadow.
Gee sorry for the huge thread jack Robert
I can assure you that everyone that was involved did check your pic out first though mate ..
We just got carried away with those huge bastards

I love the old Canes and think they are still the nicest looking older ride on the roads mate
and yours is clean too

I forgot to ask mate ...how do you find the seat cover ?? does it stop the numb bum thing at all??

Displayed for cbrsixpack

"Wooley Mammoth" is to stop me sliding off the seat!Think i have made one for every road bike ive had.?Think its just there to protect the seat, which is mint like the rest of the Bike.
Numbness i always found, was lessned by constantly moving around, fidget arse!
I did that going to Qld,covered 1300 kms the first day ,no problem!!

No **** 1300 in one day ..? woooweee! ..
I have done sydney - melbourne (around the 1000) a few times in one day, but never 1300 ...
ouch , no wonder you use a seat cover mate ..

I did Kalgoorlie to Melbourne in just over 48 hrs when I was only 21 ...
I was with a few other bikes and we just kept going and going...little 2 hr pit stops was all the sleep we got ..

Your ride is certainly mint too ....

Thanks mate!
Yeah that was a while ago, from here to Musswellbrook,N.S.W via the Newell Hwy. Plenty of stops on the way,Narrandra,Parkes,Dubbo etc.
Funny thing was in the middle of the day, near Dubbo,Tiredness kicked in.........Heat haze rising.....Small "Trees" started to move across the road ??? Wtf.....?
Slowed back down to a safe speed, the " Trees" happened to be EMU"s......................lol,lol
That freaked me out!

Yer bloody tripping out from no zzzz's would not have helped though

Those bloody emu's are a real worry up bush ....they have the brains of an ardvark and run in every direction if you rattle them bad .

I have gone close to making my own woolen seat cover a few times with dam sheep too ...
round a bend .... at high speed ...****!!!!!!! a freakin white road !! millions of the bastards..!
Have not managed to hit any , but came close quite a few times ..

we had better leave this thread alone now as it is only supposed to be for self promotion , not chitt chatt mate ...

I did 1120 K's in 12 hours 4 years ago, alone, when I was a 55 year old spring chicken...........
yep, Sixpack, I'm a fidgetarse too ! Never had moving trees though.............[X(]
sounds like puff, puff, pass.............hehehe.[:-]
Lonely monotony can get you, even at fairly high speed - I've seen it happen.....my friend Luigi
(who has since ridden from SA to Italy to deliver a Scooter's pizza)[X(][X(] didn't even react when we came up on a corner - went straight on, over a stormwater culvert, into the bush (aged 63 at the time)
claims he was daydreaming.......
I still love longhauls, though......
Oh, Steve, only 300,000 K's..............?
Get some saddle time in, son !

Yer...1120 in 12 hrs is ok ...what held you up mate ? head wind hu ?

Try 3600 in 48hrs... sure the average is less than your effort , but you try staying in the saddle for 48hrs with only tiny 2 hr sleep (if you could call them that) breaks ...that sorts out yu arse and yu head ..big time mate ..

Not a nice feeling!Although the leathers reduce the water absorbtion.Being Lambswool doesnt hold too much water.
Had a brainwave about the Single seat Cowl!!!
Just get the back half recovered in white or red by an upholsterer so it LOOKS like a s/seat cowl !!
