Honda aftermarket seat cowl...Like it?
Considering getting one of these for my '08. How do you guys like the look of this? Is it as nice as the pictures I've seen? Can anyone post pics that might help me decide? Would really appreciate it!

Really appreciate the pic Rice, and the info...I didn't realize the pad adjusts...that's cool because the one thing about the RR that is different from my other bikes (F4, VFR) is that when I ride aggressively and have my butt back, it doesn't touch anything like on the other bikes, and it's something I would prefer.
So let me ask you, are you happy with it? It looks good to me. I assume the paint match is Honda perfection.

Its tied forsecond place in my list of best mods (first being the frame sliders, and the peace of mind they give me) and the tie is with my Rizoma turn signals.
The cowl is definately worth the money. Perfect paint, and direct replacement for the rear seat with no adjustments necessary to make it fit.
Being able to feel the center of the tail on your back is a great tool to double check your body position while riding too
on the picture I have the pad on position 3 out of 4 (it can go out one more step, about 1/4", and 2 more steps toward the rear, tucking completely in on the furthest rear one)

I won't lie... making the cowl fit "just right" took some work. Even with the spacers they gave me it didn't line up as well as I liked. Believe it or not, to make it sit perfectly and not vibrate I used a metal and rubber washer from an intake set that I didn't use.
It does, however, looks pretty cool. I would say it's worth the money if you have it to blow on mainly just looks. Color matching is perfect and there's the letters "CBR" etched into the front of the pad (facing the seat).

F4Boy,
I really like the look and ease of the OEM cowl. Paint match is 100% right, couldn't be better. Like Lrn said, making them fit perfect can be a pain but that can bedifferent between each bike. If you're looking to make a nice appearance mod and have the extra dollars laying around go for. Compliments will ensue with it

And i'll attach a link to my highres pics with the Cowl on it for your viewing pleasure

I was considering buying one of these for the possile added storage; however, I haven't been able to find a pic of the underside of the cowl. From you guys who own one, does it actually provide any extra storage in the trunk area? Since I use my bike primarily as a commuter, the added bit of storage would be handy and worth the extra money depending on volume in my opinion.
