I can't find the center eye bulb you are talking about on the site. could you provide a link?

Also which HID kit do you recommend from manyadeal.com? I want the Hi/Low HID for a 05 cbr600rr

I bought a set of the HIDs from DDM Tuning but while waiting for them to come in I wanted to ask you all if you have installed on a newer bike with the hard plastic dust covers... What did you do with the wires for the HIDs? Did you cut a hole in this or what?

And yes, the car kit comes with 2 bulbs, 2 ballasts and 2 wiring harnesses. The motorcycle kit would only come with 1 bulb, 1 ballast, and 1 wiring harness. Which means that if you ordered the motorcycle kit (which is just 1 car kit split in half), you would have to order 2 of those, which would end up costing you more than the car kit. This is for that eBay store ONLY.

As for that DDM link I provided, that takes you straight to the mini-ballast kit that comes with 2 bulbs/ballasts.
What kit would you recommend for my 06 1000rr as far as the optional harness or just use the ones that come with it and it looks like they have a optional racing one with 55watts or should I just go with the 35watt one . Thanks in advance

I just ordered mine from DDM also and there going on a 06 cbr 1000rr . I think they should be pretty easy to mount and conceal. I really like the black box on these for that reason, I ended up going with the 6000k 35 watt kit with the H7 bulbs . I was almost tempted to go with the 5000k but wanted just a touch of blue tint but not alot so will see although I heard the 5000 give you the best visibility but I still think the 6000k will look the best and still offer better lighting then the stock bulbs for sure .

RE: hid headlights
Light given from bulbs up to 6500K get brighter. 5000K are white light. 6000K/6500K have a blue'ish tint. Higher Kelvin rated bulbs have a Mauve then Purple tint. They might look good but the distance you can see is going to be less.

I have only one ballast installed, from the previous owner, a fat one too, and I want to buy a new set (slim) that comes with both. I was going to buy a car set and was wondering if the wattage matters (Low beam is 35w high beam is 55w) If I buy a car kit, both will be 35w. Will that matter? Will that mess with my bikes electronics?

Default HID Ballasts

The car HID sets will fit the bike, the ballasts and wiring are the same for both. The slim ones cost more, but when your trying to hide them behind your panels, you'd be surprised how small the spaces are. There is usually one ballast for each bulb. I have a 35w fitted to the main beam on my Blackbird, haven't fitted the dip one yet cos the lights come on with the ignition (no on/off switch) and I dont like starting the bike with the HID starting up at the same time. Fitting a switch is a project for this winter. Both main and dip will be 35w, the position of the two bulbs in the headlight and the shape of the refector around the bulbs give the dirction of the light. On the Blackbird the dip bulb stays on even when you put main beam on, which is good cos the HID bulbs take a few seconds to get to full brighness when first switched on.
If your main and dip are both on the same bulb you get one ballast and one bulb with a solinoid fitted to the bulb which moves back and forward over the bulb to redirect the light from the reflector.

I'm looking at the kits online and it looks like the "slim" kits might be the way to go. $50 seems more than reasonable for them. Anyone hear anything negative about the slim kits?

I haven't but you'll have fun trying to get regular ballasts somewhere in ur bike. When I ordered my kit I forgot to go with slims. I couldn't put the ballasts anywhere near the front of the bike so I have the behind the radiator zip tied (with heat resistant ties) to the frame underneath the gas tank. Not a very fun nor clean installation. I would like to go slim
