Default Looking for New Engine - CBR1000F '94 Model

G'day,
I'm chasing an engine for a 1994 CBR1000F, or possibly parts.

The engine I have is quite good but has a damaged basket and slips out of 3rd under power..

If you have anything, or can recommend a place, let me know as I can offer more than the wreckers..

Thanks,
Luke (Victoria, Australia)

What part of the basket is damaged? If it's an inner tooth (part that the fiber plates grab), I would talk to http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA...76804537QQrdZ1 this guy and see if it fits your year. As for slipping out of third, sounds like the gear dogs are worn or sheared off. Time to split the cases and drop in a new set of 3rd gears (both sides). And if you were to feel dangerous, I'd look at the shift drum and shift forks and make sure they aren't rubbish.

I already have a shift drum and forks on standby for when I munch my engine. I was only $2 short when the whole tranny went on sale a couple of years ago on ebay (final price was something like $35)
