I'll bet I've been riding since before you were born, mind your manners.

I think I might have to try aiming my headlights sometime, as I would love to run with them both on all the time, and have them look like the same light.

maybe it's just me, but I like laughing at people who tell me that I have a light out. We're all cagers just some of us are more educated about the laws of the land than others. I don't worry about weather the car next to me has laid eyes on my bike or me, as long as I know where he is I'm ok.

I've seen those color headlight kits. They look cool, but I dunno if they're legal to run here. They look real cool with both lights running. For now, I'll try just pointing the right side down and running both as low beams.

Personally, Ithink it'smore effective to flash my high's when I'm approaching someone who's about to pull out in front of me, but that's just my $.02.

+1 on that ^^. A flash of the high beamto a driver about to do something stupid does the trick for me.

I flash mine all the time (Modulator). It pisses some cagers off, but it sure gets their attention. I don't worry as much when I approach an intersection with a cager sitting opposite me in the left hand turn lane!

just a caveat to all you flashers [&:], there have been reports after a t-bone that the cager thought biker was flashing them to "go ahead"

btw, personally (in addition to using Silverstars) I usually do one or more of the following if I'm trying to get attention (depending on how much time I have until crossing vehicle in question):
- first check oncoming traffic and traffic behind me to see what type of actions I can take in worst case scenario
- reduce speed a little
- fingers on clutch and break ready 2 go
- Sit straight up and stick head up as far as possible for visibility
- Try get eye contact if possible to see if dude/dudette is paying attention
(if on cell, abort mission, resort to more evasive tactics)
- Look at front wheel to see if it's moving
- Swerve slightly side to side
- Wear gaudy helmet/gear colors
- avoid seeing what tar tastes like
