Hey guys i just wanted to know if $4000 is a pretty good price for a 2004 1000rr.

Here's the info:

Recent dyno sheet 150.3 HP 78.9 Torque
Many mods
Some scratches on right fairing

thats not too bad, depending on how bad the scratches are and if anything else is damaged. 4-5 grand is about where 04-05's are sitting right now on average. Some more expensive, some cheaper. 06-07's are selling for anywhere from 5500 to 6500.

So its in the ball park, not a smoking deal, but certainly not being ripped off either. If you like the bike, I'd buy it. you may find one cheaper, but you'd be hard pressed to do so. Once bikes depreciate a certain amount, they hover around that amount for many years. You could potentially buy it, ride it for a few years and make most if not all of your money back.

depending on the mods, I'd say that's a great deal.
but why so low on the rwhp?

the bike is worth what you are comfortable paying for it ..

i have an 05 with 3k miles on it .. pearl white paint .. powdercoated metalic blue frame, swing arm white rims... perfect bike .. 100% stock other than blue screen slip on exhaust and white face indiglo guages...and when i get it up for sale i know ill ask /get 7500... especially here in ny...

its a virgin bike.. new tires .. perfect!

id say it's a pretty good deal,,,like squid said, 04-05 are going for around 4000 to 5500,,in the real world here anyways,lol..

yes they are some people that will pay more for them,,but theyre just few and far in between...

i let my 05 with the normall mods on it with 10200 miles go for 4800 just to get rid of it,and it was a nice bike...

so 4 grand for a 04 with 11 or so miles on it not bad at all,,,just make sure u look it over really good...look in side the fairings and such to see if its been liad down hard at some time...its hard to find a older bike that hasnt been down at least once in its life..but most was just alittle slide that normally was just cosmetic things .....

well i bought the bike over the weekend. I fell in love with it cause it reminds me of my f2 that was black but the silver matches the car. The scratches on the bike were barely even on the fairings. You won't even notice unless you were looking for it.
Oh the mods that came with the bike were

l.e.d. turn signals
ariete grips
b.m.c. race filters
airbox mods
exhaust valve mod
exhaust can mod
custom tag bracket
vortex frame sliders

Sounds like you did GREAT! I purchased an 04 with about 7K miles on it for 6300 about 4 months ago, with some mods.

Hot bodies undertail exhaust, LED tail lights, 100RR chain guard, the rear seat and seat cover.

so perhaps I got taken for a little but I LOVE the bike and would not change it at all.
