I'll admit it sounds really complicated. When I heard about it I gathered everything together and sat and looked at it and REALLY thought out the process in what I was going to be fabbing. But in the end it was one of the easiest mods I've ever done that required actually fabbing something. It would probably sound easier if I put actual drill and tap sizes and all-thread size. But hell that was 15k miles ago, I can't remember that far back...lol

And when it was all said and done I was like what was the worst case scenario?? I'd fock it up and have to get an APE?? I was already thinking of that anyways so it working was just a bonus.

Sounds interesting, I might try it. Depending on the diameter of threaded rod needed I might be able to get some and a matching tap from work.

next time I pull the gas tank and airbox to change my sparkplugs I'll pull the CCT also and take a pic of it so people can see what I'm talking about.

Cheers for all the comments. I'm actually from the UK so HK eBay etc is difficult forme as I don't read Chinese. I will search eBay and see who ships here, but assumed these could be bought from bike shops in US, but seems not.
I dont have the tools for the diy job so buying is my only option.
Cheers
