Default New rider & new to the forums.

Hey guys,

Been trying to get into this forums for the past month! Well I registered with a different name DrPepperSoda, a few weeks back, but it got banned the next day w/o reason.. maybe you guys thought I was one of those spam bots or something, but I understand. Also it was hard to get in contact with a moderator and I sent emails too but it was never replied. Could a moderator delete that name so I can use my original email instead? Thanks.

Anyways... I'm a new rider out of Maryland. I took the MSF course early Oct. -- got my M license the next day and I just bought my first bike 2 weeks ago. I was deciding whether to get a ninja 650r or a F4i, I'm so glad I got the F4i instead. I think its the perfect starter bike, only if you took the MSF Course. I was a bit hesitant at first but as soon as I got on the bike I knew exactly how to ride it and I had no previous experience. I've been reading a whole lot on these forums, it has great information for new riders too.

A little about myself: I'm a student training to be a chef - might change my degree.. again.., I am Vietnamese, 21 yrs old, I like to play games--mostly on PC -- if you want to get owned in Cod4 give me a pm, and I will ride when ever I get the chance even if its 30 degrees out.

Well... I think I'm typing too much so I'm gonna stop for now -- talk to you guys soon.

Pics of my 2001 F4i:
Open to advices about mods, the bike, any good shops around this area, anything.

Bike is stock w/ two bros exhaust and frame sliders.

Welcome to CBRF Chef!! That's a sweet F4i you've got there! Very clean looking and I love the way the Two Bros exhaust compliments the rest of the bike. Be sure to check out the F4i forum for all things F4i. Lots of great members in there to help you with anything or least to render and opinion or two.

Glad to hear you took the MSF. It should help reduce your insurance rates too. Sounds like you are doing everything right so far. Take care and enjoy the forums.

Not sure why the other user name got banned But welcome to the board anyway Nice bike ... but be very careful with that right wrist. It can get you into trouble very quickly.

I'll PM you about changing your user name back.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Been out riding all day! 64F and Sunny!

I'll try my best to keep safe, only time I'm really speeding is around the twisties . They are strangely addictive...

And thanks chainstrencher for fixing my name

Bike is beautiful! I don't think I have ever seen that color scheme before. I mostly see the red with black in my area when I do see an F4. You seem to have given the whole bike experience some thought - and the MSF course was a great idea. I need to do that myself. ;-)

Welcome aboard, and maybe share with us why you are so fond of the Dr. Pepper!

GOOD QUESTION! I ask my self this all the time. I don't even like DrPepper, I just stuck with the name for most of my usernames and been using it for the past 10 years. I dont exactly remember how I came upon it but I just did and it stuck

I see you're new on the board too, nice bike! So far there seems to be a oddly amount of overly nice people on these boards.

Anyways... My bike has a little over 21k miles on it and I put close to 1k the past 2 weeks, I'm kinda debating on getting a new paint job for my F4i or upgrading to a 600rr by early spring (I might have enough experience by then). Its not for the speed I just want a cleaner-newer bike. And if I do mod the F4i and decide to sell it in a year or two, I might rack up the mileage and not be able to sell the bike. What do you guys think?
