I have been threatening to do it for well over 2 decades - so I think it is about time the planets aligned and we did it.

Mrs SB wouldn't let me go without her.

Now about a bike for Mad Sunday

Cheers, SB

Don't rent anything bigger than a 250 Bear - it's a waste of money. Ask guys who have done it.

And Tim - where on the island do you live ? Place for tents ?

Thanks Shadow, I honestly think a 250 would be the UPPER limit. The ********* just aren't big enough for anything bigger around that track.

So, Tim what size bike do you have?

Cheers, SB

SB - CBR600F (99)

Shadow - Peel, a good place for tents can be St Johns Football club, it's located about 400m from the Ballacraine junction on the TT course St Johns is in the West of the Island, quiet rural area (so not in the heart of the action) about a 25 minute ride into Douglas from there.

all info on below site

Thanks Tim - good to know.

Bear, the reason for the 250 has nothing to do with testicular fortitude or the lack thereof Moving around the island during race fortnight is a nightmare as I'm sure Tim will confirm.
I'll probably rent a scrambler so I can go across country................not sure if it's feasible, Tim your input would be most valuable here......

If we want to do the course we can always thrash KenG's old dog around the circuit..............LOL

I like that Shadow, but just so that we can all share, we can bolt a sidecar on......................

It's not too bad, I would say a majority of motorcars give plenty of room etc, there ends up being so many bikes that cars/vans just give up and let the bikes through

Main roads/course are quite safe I would say people are expecting to see bikes. it's going for a fast one on the coast roads during TT/MGP is when the problems start.

If any of you want any more info about anything IoM just drop me a PM or say so here
