Do you know where I might find a headlamp fairing, screen and L/H lower fairing panel for my '88 1000F-J .... had a little accident today! Fell off the paddock stand! As I was lowering it down, it slipped off the stand and fell over. It hit the wall, smashing the headlamp fairing and screen on the L/H side and as it hit the deck, it crushed and split the L/H lower fairing panel. Even broke my new mirrors! Absolutely gutted!!! I'll still be at CBR night, even if I dont find replacements in time.
**** me Shakes, you're not having a lot of luck at the moment are you?
Jesus man I'm gutted for you. WTF have you done to deserve this. I must say mate, you've got patience and perseverance tattooed across your soul.

My bike fell over last summer when the tarmac melted under the centre stand. Smash the screen hard against the back of my Volvo and broke the idiot light cluster to boot. I was gutted then but nowhere near as much as you must be right now after the damage you've taken. We need airbags fitted to these heavy machines.

I'm sure the parts will turn up. I see Rob's already found you a couple of suggestions.
Bugger. That's all there is to say right now.... all I can think of anyway.... Don't give up.

Gutted doesn't come close lads ... but thanks for the words!

I had it booked in for the fork seals tomorrow, as you know. I only went into the garage to turn it round and check a few things to make sure it would be ok in the morning!

I can still see it happening in slow motion!

I must have walked under a ladder, or kicked a black cat or something???

Shakey,
how you doing with the repairs?
I'm still planning to come up to B/pool for Monday night.
I'll PM you to get your number.
Anyone else up for this meet?
I've planned three nights away and many miles in between.
Just prepping the bike now. New HID headlamps about to be completed, CCT and a bit of minor body work.
Can't wait to set sail on Sunday afternoon.
Let's hope the weather holds up for Monday night at least.

Thanks Mark.

Rob, are you still going?
I'll be riding over to Blackpool from Harrogate. That's sort of your neck of the woods isn't it? We could perhaps ride some of the way together. What time are you off work?
I'll call you. It'd be good to hear your voice anyway.

Anyone else up for it? Monday night. The new Wednesday.

Yes im still going unless its absolutley chucking it down.

My brother should be coming along on his GTR 1000 aswell.

Harrogate is about 45 min south from me so i'll see you there. We are setting off about 5pm from Darlington then over A66 to Brough A685 to Tebay them M6/M55
hopefully arriving about 7pm. I'll ring you then to see where to park.

Enjoy Harrogate, i used to deliver laundry to quite a few hotels there 20 years ago very picturesque.
