Thumbs up My new to me 1993 CBR1000F

Yesterday i did a 130ish mile round trip to pick up my new to me 1kf - I'm happier and more excited than anyone should be when getting a 20yr old CBR! It's so good to have another one.

She's fairly tidy for the age with the odd marks & wear and tear - i gave it a quick clean when i got home as the rear wheel was a nice shade of chain lube!

She's a 1993 FP model which i believe is the first of the linked brake models with just over 25000 miles on the clock with most of the old mots. Fairly standard i think apart from a flip-up screen, stainless downpipes and cans and a scottoiler. A new rear tyre and has recently had some work done on the brakes for the mot. Engine sounds good and feels fit.

I'll do an oil & filter change soon as i'm not sure when i was last done, but the oil didn't look too bad when i checked it.

Had a nice ride home, mainly a motorway cruise - i'd almost forgotten quite how comfy and smooth these bikes are. Here's a few pics:

Cheers guys, she's not bad at all - not quite in as good condition as my old one was but has less miles - i'm just happy to own one again.

boru: nice - what colour is yours?

jarvid: yes, i had a 1995 model

Boru: Your bike looks good - like the purple, thanks for sharing the pics.

Wheelnut: Cheers, i like the look of your CBR makeover, love the colour of the wheels. I'm tempted to respray the wheels gold on this one like i did on my old one, but part of me wants to keep it original - not sure what to do yet!
