Talking Anyone eles ridden the new 250r?

A friend of mine decided to buy his first bike today, So I suggested the new cbr250r . We went to the Honda stealership and he fell in love. So needless to say about an hour later I get to ride it home for him. I was very impressed with it to just be a 250. Looks great, rides and feels great. Very light, good response. I think Honda hit a home run with this one.

price was great also, sticker price was 4,199. He got it out the door for a lil less then 4,400

Just wondering what anyone Else's thoughts are on one.

I think they look like terrific bikes! I darn near bought a used Ninja 250 when I bought my F4 last fall. The CBR250 wasn't quite available yet then (at least in my neck of the woods). I think the 250s are a terrific size, and I WISH they'd bring the 400s back to the USA, too. I'd have a 250 and a 400 at my house for sure!

Haven't even been able to see one in person. I guess we have had 2 at our dealership but someone was already prepared to buy them before they even came in. Dang jackwagons! Lol. I'll see one eventually. I think it was a smart decision on Honda's part. And I don't think it would be a bad idea at all to bring out the 400. Just try to make them look a little more like the 600 and make sure it has the dual headlights instead of a sinle and I bet they would sell like crazy

I'd buy one for a track bike if I had money to toss around.

The Bike threw a rod this morning, and it distroyed. Yup and with only 45 miles on the clock. Never was over rev, or mistreated in anyway. The honda shop is going to order a completely new replacement bike for him. It should arrive thursday. Kinda worries me now though. For it to fail that bad that soon.

when he got it, It hadn't even had gas in the tank yet. then the honda shop took it for a small test ride after he bought it. he received it with 1.2 miles on the clock. Kinda think Honda should test there stuff a lil bit more than they do before it goes for sale
