Hi Mark, welcome to the forum.

I also have a 1991 1000f, there are quite a few owners on this forum and loads of information.

Just use the search facility at the top of the page and if you can't find what you need, give us a shout.

The 1000f is known as the 'Hurricane' on here and there is a dedicated section here :-

CBR 1000F "Hurricane" - CBR Forum - Enthusiast forums for Honda CBR Owners

There is also the 'Saloon' for general chat and banter :-

CBR 1000F "Hurricane" - CBR Forum - Enthusiast forums for Honda CBR Owners

As for issues with the bike..... there is the well documented cam chain rattle, not a problem, so long as it goes when the bike is warm. Never heard of a chain snapping, it's just a bit annoying.

Otherwise it's just general wear and tear associated with a 25 year old bike. I think everything has been covered at some point on the forum, from a full restoration to day to day maintenance and tinkering.

Hope you enjoy her when she arrives.

Will do, it arrives after dark so I'll get a photo tomorrow, it's standard 91 Honda colours btw, the early 90's not being noted as an era of good taste!

Sounds like your new bike is in the Benneton colours.

Don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds, I'm sure they'll grow on you.

A bit delayed but here's the photo, over the last few weeks I've actually started to quite like the colour!, or at least gotten used to it 😄 , it's now a rolling restoration, I'm quite impressed, very smooth and stable, makes a nice change to my other bikes that are mainly Ducati, apart from one other Honda CR750 replica, but that's not smooth, or stable!

Ah, I see the photo hasn't worked, I copied in a link from photobucket, please could someone tell me how to upload a photo on this forum?

On your share options, you'll see that you have a few different links to copy. You want the IMG code or forum code link. Copy and paste, your pic will then imbed to the site. All I did was go into the URL you posted and opened the pic into its own window, copy and pasted the URL between
