Default New to Sport bikes

Just want to say hey to all you guys. I've only had cruisers (03 Shadow 600 & 02 Instruder 1500) so far and it's been a couple of years since I've had a bike period, but I'm gettn a 98 CBR 600 f3. Iv'e ridden rockets a few times but not on a regular basis so this wil be different for me. I'm just glad to be gettn back on 2 wheels. Any tips or advice is greatly welcome. Thanks.

I would still get some professional training even though you have ridden before ..the F3 is a lovely bike when running well, I have one too ..see bike in my sig ..also when ready read up about counter steering by clicking the link in my sig :-)

Well I dont know what you guys have over there, I hear MSF bandied around here in the forum a lot but I am over in the UK ... at least make sure you understand counter steering and more importantly practise it until its second nature :-)

I think there probably the same thing just different countries. It was a 3 day long class with lots of riding and classroom stuff. And I went through your post good stuff, realized it but never thought about it.

Thats good that you realised it, the really big difference comes when you learn to counter steer "conscioulsy" as opposed to unconscioulsy ..then you have real bike control ..good luck with it all and stay safe!! :-)
