Default New To Sport Bikes

Hey all, just wanted to drop a quick intro post. I recently bought a 2000 CBR 600 from a buddy at work for a killer price, its orange and black.

I must say its a huge difference. My other daily ride is a 2010 Harley Sportster 883, which has its own pros and cons. I must say its and interesting change, and what a fun one!

I just have to actively watch the speedo now, caught myself already looking down, and thinking wtf, and letting off the throttle cause the speed I was going without feeling it would have been a very expensive speeding ticket!

Look forward to learn more...

Yeah sport bikes have the speed for sure. I don't think I could live without mine.

Awesome! So glad to hear your love of motorcycles transcends different rides. I'm sure you will have a blast and as alway be safe, your new toy may get you a speeding ticket faster lol. Glad to have you on the forum and there are a lot of fellow riders that can help you out on here with your new transition. Keep the rubber side down!

Welcome to the CBR Forum,

Yes, there is a great difference between the CBR and the Harley, power delivery, seating position and.................cornering!

Enjoy both the bikes for what they were designed for.

Cheers, SB

Welcome to CBRF! I'm glad you picked up a sportbike. Riding all kinds of bikes (different ergo's, riding heights, motors, weights, etc.) makes you a much better rider. Welcome to the forum again, tons of info and lots of great riders here!

Welcome.
Now that you have a cbr, will the sporty see the road very often?

My Harley rarely moves these days.
