Let me start off by saying I have over 10 years riding and my last bike was a CBR1100XX.

Now my delima is I REALLY want the ZX14 but I can get a killer deal on a 2006 1000RR. All stock with 1200 miles for $8,800.I like the style and comfort if the zx but I'm really a Honda guy at heart.

What I'm wanting to know is what are the issues you guys have with the RR. Heat baking your ***? Bad passenger seat/heat? I've never ridden one. Please help this may mean the differance between getting a bike now or in 3-4 months.

 

depends on what you like doing. If you love tearing up the twisties hit the 1000RR up but if you love going for longer trips and need the extra comfort the 14 is going to be your best bet and the closest thing to your 1100XX

 

The passenger seat comfort has GOT to be better on the ZX. The banana seat on my F4i is very comfy for my girlfriend, my buddies wife hates the RR (he has a 051krr). The ZX is kinda goofy looking though but nobody seems to care because of the motor.

 

i sat on both yesterday, the zx14 feels like a damn goldwing its so wide!

It's going to be the CBR. But not the used one. I can get a left over 2006 new for not much more than the used bike. So I'll be around asking dumb questions. Plus I just couldn't bring myself to buy a Kawak. Never really liked them.
