What RU Drinking right now ?
#11
Was a really hairy day at work so I decided to reward myself with a few beers...
The first one that I emptied was this:
A really pitch black porter from Alloa, Scotland. Full, rich, but still smooth and really easy to drink. One of my favourites all year round. (4,41e)
Now going:
Okells Aile Smoked Celtic Porter From the Isle of Man.
This one has a little more character, although has less %vol than the Midnight Sun. It is brewed from peated malt, i.e. has been smoked over burning peat. A really good tasting beer too, not to be consumed in large quantities, mostly for the strong taste, but also because of the price here. (4.50e)
Still in the fridge:
Wells Bowman Stout from the GB.
This one is a little harder to rate... Smooth an creamy, a little coffee-ish taste, black as a good stout should be, but not that burnt as most porters. A little cheaper than the others at 3.78e/bottle, but naturally still more expensive than local ones (average for a 0,5l can is about 2.50e)
Starting to think that I`m not gonna open the Bowman... can barely sit up without falling asleep... prolly gonna hit the shower and go sideways...
