Yup Jarvid, I've eaten the horse steaks here, and they're quite nice - just a little too lean for me though. But the horse sausages are just delicious. Not traditional sausages, come in untwisted rolls of meat. Wack a roll of a metre or so on the barby and let it sizzle for 10 to 15 minutes, serve with mashed potato, steamed broccoli and carrots and a healthy dose of Dijon mustard and all is good with the world.

Just try not to make any Mr Ed jokes while eating.

"Wilbur...........why are you eating me Wilbur?"

Cheers, SB

It was offered as the main course,
An ample portion of horse.
Cooked rare was the way,
It could still utter a neigh.
And gave me the trots with great force

Default Signing Off from La Belle France......

My last day in Southern France.

I catch the red-eye TGV back to Paris in the morning for 36 hours of travel back to South Australia.

I've eaten horse (a lot), walked to and through some marvellous countryside, dined at some magnificent restaurants, driven and ridden some odd-ball vehicles, drank maybe just a little too much red wine and had an absolute ball with my hosts Rosco and Veronika and the ex-pats in the villages around here.

By way of thanks I took them out yesterday to one of the best restaurants in the region. Six main courses and 3 minors.........

I think I ate a cow!

A cleansing ale was required after the siesta (which was also required) so why not a Belgium wheat beer infused with raspberries?

The last dawn here from the terrasse

We went to a vide-grenier today, crossbow anyone? An attic sale by any other name but some great stuff there that I could not buy.

There was a lovely little daffodil coloured faux Renault Gordini though.

And at a mate's place his Lancia Aprilia tucked away in his shed.

He's just finished a Lancia Appia which I was lucky enough to drive around the countryside this afternoon

It's art I tell you.................

And with that I hear some beers calling me on the terrasse prior to the evening feast.

So, I'll catch you all later!

Cheers, SB

Thanks Jarvid.

I do it basically because I'm a lazy sod and not only do you guys get to see what I'm up to, but I send the link to all my family and friends as well. That way, one write up!

It's also a great way to look back and see what you've done in years past.

And yes, riding weather can't get here quick enough.

Cheers, SB

^ Ok..So, SB's idea is getting pushed down the list then?
So far the list is,
#1. The boomerang
#2. Robert Torrens
#3. SB's mind boggling photo gallery
#4. The Sydney opera house
and so forth.
