The clutch is a bitch. I had to replace the slave cylinder on my 04 and i could not get the clutch to bleed at all. I bleed it for atleast 4 hrs and finally i cranked the bike and stuck it in gear, on the stand of course and after it started getting warm it started coming in with me. Honda should have never went to a hydraulic clutch on any bike they ever make. I notice they have a cable on the 08/09. Hope they keep it that way.

Use a vacuum pump kit. Borrow one from your auto parts store like Advanced Auto Parts (I think its free to borrow, but you have to put down a deposit) or buy one. HarborFreaight.com has one for only $20.

+1 on the speedbleeders and/or a vacuum bleeder. I have both, the bleeder is great for changing lines or rebuilding systems. for just regular bleeding the speedbleeders are fantastic
